We’re excited to share an update on the progress of our building project! The total construction and utility infrastructure costs amount to AU$1.377 million, and we’re thrilled to report that almost 70% of those funds have already been raised. It is heartwarming to receive such broad and enthusiastic support, including a generous no-interest loan of $100,000—a most welcome and kind cash flow buffer!
Our Winter Raffle was a great success, raising AU$20,000 in just one month! This also led many supporters to visit our website, and we saw a noticeable increase in donations of all sizes during and after the raffle and the launch of our new website. We are immensely grateful to all the donors who contributed.
Now, we’re in the home stretch. We still need AU$433,000 to reach our goal—just 30% of the original target. To meet this challenge, we have additional fundraising raffles and events planned. In September, we’ll also be launching our “Special 3 for 1 Appeal,” inspired by a kind anonymous benefactor. All donations will go towards this final stage of the building project, and we thank you from all the nuns at Machig Labdron, for your continued support.
